Multiple Sclerosis affects millions of people, including our co-workers, friends, families, and loved ones. My daughter, Lorena, was diagnosed with MS in October 2015. After her diagnosis, our world as we knew it came to an end because this monster, as it's known to us, has taken over our baby's body and we can't fight it because there is no cure. We will not accept the fact that there is no cure.
Kashia Rodriguez is a mother of two daughters, Olivia and Kora, and has been married to Uvaldo for 11 years. Uvaldo was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in May 2004. The South Texas Multiple Sclerosis Council holds a special place in Kashia's heart because of her husband and children.
Dina was diagnosed with Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis on September 2016 at the age of 41. Dina is married with 4 children from a happily blended family. Dina is a former ASL Interpreter and licensed massage therapist/instructor.
Janie was diagnosed with Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis in 2009. She worked as a nurse but now is a stay at home mom of two boys, Edgar Jr. and Ricky. MS has given her a different outlook on life and now does not take anything for granted.

STMSC has helped me so much through my journey with MS. Being a part of this amazing group has allowed me to share my story and hear others who have also been diagnosed with MS. I enjoy being able to talk to people who understand what I am going through as well as having support. I am so lucky to have met Lucia and the rest of my STMSC family.
The South Texas Multiple Sclerosis Council would not be possible without donations from the community. If you would like to donate to help the organization better the lives of people living with Multiple Sclerosis in the Rio Grande Valley, please click one of the "Donate Now" buttons below. Your tax deductible contribution is greatly appreciated!
